WiiMouse 0.1 Alpha

WiiMouse allows you to control your mac (running 10.5 or later) with your WiiMote. Special thanks to the folks at DarwiinRemote for releasing their WiiMote bluetooth wrapper framework.

Installation

Download and run the Installer program. You must have OS X 10.5 or later installed. After the installer completes, you will need to log out and then back into to start the driver.

How to use

  1. Press the 1 and 2 buttons simultaneously.
    • Your WiiMote will go into "discoverable mode" (4 blue LEDs flashing).
  2. When connected you will hear a chime and see a single solid LED on your WiiMote.
  3. If the WiiMote gets disconnected simply turn it off and then press the 1 and 2 buttons simultaneously again.

Move the control up and down to move the cursor up and down on the screen.

Up-and-down

Rotate the control left and right (barrel-roll) to move the cursor left and right on the screen.

Barrelroll

Press the "B" button to left click and the "A" button to right click. Use the directional pad to scroll up, down, left, and right. Zoom in and out using the "+" and "-" buttons.

Known Issues

  • If WiiMouse sits idle for a long time it may become unresponsive. To fix, you can open Activity Monitor and quit WiiMouse. It will automatically restart.
  • When using the directional pad to scroll you cannot simply hold down the button to make it continuously scroll.
